Intent 1:
To exempt floor assemblies within a dwelling unit
from the requirements of Subsection 3.2.2. related to
fire separations on the basis that:
- provisions are included to minimize the threat of fire
to the occupants,
- the occupants are familiar with the arrangement of egress
routes, and
- emergency responders would rarely have to enter the
unit in the performance of their duties.
