Intent 1:

To exempt washrooms from the requirements of Sentence 3.8.2.3.(1) [and of referenced Articles 3.8.3.8. to 3.8.3.11.] to be barrier-free, on the basis that the washrooms are required to conform to Article 3.8.3.12. and will thus provide adequate access and use in existing buildings undergoing alterations.
