Intent 1:

To remove such tanks from the requirements of Sentences 4.3.2.4.(1) and (2), and to provide an access route and spacing between tanks, if automatic fire protection measures are provided:

• to control and limit fire to the tank of fire origin, and
• to protect the tank from fire exposure.
