Intent | Intent 1: To classify care facilities accepted for residential use
pursuant to provincial or territorial legislation as residential occupancies
if they meet certain conditions, and to exempt these buildings from the Group
B classification requirements of Sentence 3.1.2.1.(1) provided measures
are taken to limit the probability of residents not being aware of fire or
not having the means to evacuate safely. This is to determine appropriate
requirements in the Code. |
