Application | Application 1: Totally enclosed non-metallic raceways not more than 175
mm in outside diameter, or of an equivalent rectangular area, that
enclose optical fibre cables, and electrical wires and cables, in buildings described
in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A that are required to be of noncombustible construction, where the raceways exhibit
a vertical char not more than 1.5 m when tested in conformance
with the Test for Flame Propagation (Riser) in Section 3.4 of ULC/ORD-C2024, “Fire
Tests for Optical Fibre Cable Raceway” (FT-4 Rating). Application 2: This also applies to buildings to
which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application
of Part 9] that are required to be of noncombustible
construction, as stated in Sentence 9.10.6.1.(1).
Application 3: This also applies to buildings described
in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A that are permitted to be of combustible construction, as stated in Subclause 3.1.4.3.(1)(b)(iv).
