Application 1: 
Method of determination of the fire-resistance rating of a material, assembly of materials or a structural member that is required to have a fire-resistance rating, in buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A, except as provided in:
  • Sentence 3.1.7.1.(2), which applies to methods in accordance with Appendix D, and
  • Article 3.1.7.2., which applies to exterior walls.
Application 2: 
This also applies to buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9], as stated in Sentence 9.10.3.1.(1).
