Application
Application 1: 
Minimum distance of separation between an unprotected opening in an exterior wall of a fire compartment and an unprotected opening in an exterior wall of another fire compartment, where the external walls of the 2 buildings meet at a firewall at an angle less than 135°.
This applies to buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A, and to buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9] as stated in Sentence 9.10.11.3.(1).

Intent
Intent 1: 
To expand the application of Article 3.2.3.13. to the protection of openings in the exterior face of Part 3 or Part 9 buildings separated by a firewall.
