Intent
Intent 1:
To exempt wall spaces from the application of Sentence 3.1.11.2.(1), which would otherwise require fire stopping, if certain conditions are met, on the basis that the conditions provide an equivalent level of protection. This is to limit the probability that fire will spread from a concealed wall space to or through another concealed wall space.
