Application | Application 1: Calculation for design purposes of the occupant
load of a floor area or part of a floor area, in buildings described
in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A. Application 2: Table 3.1.17.1. also applies to buildings to
which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application
of Part 9], except for dwelling units, as stated
in Article 9.9.1.3.
Exceptions:
except as provided in Sentence 3.1.17.1.(2), which applies
when a permanent sign indicating that occupant load is
posted in a conspicuous location.
