Application | Application 1: Fire-resistance rating for
a roof assembly above a gymnasium, a swimming pool, an arena, or a rink that
has no part less than 6 m above the main floor or balcony and
carries no loads other than normal roof loads, including permanent access
walks, and ventilating, sound and lighting equipment. This
applies to buildings to which Part 3 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A for application of Part 3].
Exceptions:
except that the restriction concerning minimum 6 m distance
does not apply to an inclined and stepped floor ascending from the main floor
that is used for seating purposes only.
