Application	Application 1: Storey in which more than 10% of the area is classified as a Group A, Division 1 major occupancy. This applies in buildings that: are not more than 1 storey in building height, have no part of an auditorium floor that is more than 5 m above or below grade, have no occupancy above or below the auditorium other than one which serves it or is dependent on it, and have an occupant load of the auditorium floor of not more than 300. This applies to buildings to which Part 3 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A for application of Part 3]. Exceptions: except: a storey in which more than 10% of the area is classified as a Group A, Division 1 major occupancy but in addition has more than 10% of the area classified as a major occupancy that has more stringent requirements in accordance with Articles 3.2.2.20. and 3.2.2.21. or with Articles 3.2.2.23. to 3.2.2.83., and a storey in which more than 10% of the area is classified as a Group A, Division 1 major occupancy but also has a portion of its floor area used for a Group F, Division 1 or 2 occupancy.
