Intent | Intent 1: To state how to treat closures and add an equivalent area
in calculating the area of unprotected openings in an exposing building face.
This is to limit the probability of the spread of fire from the building to
an adjacent building, which could lead to damage to adjacent buildings.
Intent 2: To direct Code users to Sentence 3.2.3.1.(6) for the
calculation of the area of unprotected openings in an exposing building face.
