Application 1: 
Maximum travel distance within a room or suite to the nearest egress doorway, where more than one egress doorway is required from the room or suite referred to in Article 3.3.1.5., in buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.

Intent
Intent 1: 
To limit the probability that delays will occur in reaching a doorway when a fire originates in the room or suite, which could lead to harm to persons.
Intent 2: 
To expand the application of travel distances for exits stated in Clauses 3.4.2.5.(1)(a), (b), (c) and (f) so they apply to travel distances to egress doorways as well.
