This applies to buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.

Intent
Intent 1: 
To limit the probability that the door release hardware will be located excessively high above the floor level, which could lead to persons being unable to easily reach the hardware in an emergency situation, which could lead to delays in opening the door, which could lead to delays in the evacuation or movement of persons to a safe place, which could lead to harm to persons.
