Intent | Intent 1: To limit the probability that persons will trip or fall
at a stepped aisle when leaving a row of seats in an emergency situation,
which could lead to delays in the evacuation or movement of persons to a safe
place, which could lead to harm to persons. Intent 2: To limit the probability that persons will trip or fall
at a stepped aisle when leaving or entering a row of seats, which could lead
to harm to persons. Intent 3: To supersede the requirements of Sentence 3.3.1.14.(1),
which would otherwise require stair [and platform] dimensions to conform to Section 3.4. for exit stairways [specifically Article 3.4.6.3.].
