Intent | Intent 1: To limit the probability that a fire involving a below-grade
storey of a garage will spread to other parts of the building, which could
lead to damage to the building. Intent 2: To exempt open-air storeys from the latter part of Sentence 3.3.5.4.(7) requiring sprinkler protection on the basis that fire and
smoke will be ventilated directly to the outdoors thereby minimizing the spread
of fire from the garage to other parts of the building. |
