Intent | Intent 1: To exempt an exit stair from the application of Sentence 3.4.3.1.(2) for converging exits, which would otherwise require the
exit width to be cumulative, based on the total occupant load of the superimposed
storeys served by the exit, on the basis that exits need only be designed
for a fire or other untenable conditions occurring on one floor area and the
occupants moving from that floor area. |
