Intent
Intent 1:
To exempt sliding doors from the requirements of Sentence 3.4.6.11.(1), which would otherwise require doors to normally open in the direction of exit travel and to swing on their vertical axis, on the basis that the sliding doors are required to meet the requirements of Sentence 3.3.1.12.(1) and swing on their vertical axis in the direction of exit travel in an emergency situation.

To expand the application of Sentence 3.3.1.12.(1) to exit doors.
