Intent | Intent 1: To exempt doorways from the minimum width requirements stated
in Sentence 3.8.1.3.(1) and permit a lesser minimum width, on the basis
that doorways comprise a small portion of a pathway. This
is to limit the probability that a person using a manual wheelchair or other
manual mobility assistance device will not be able to circulate within a building
without the assistance of another person.
