Application | Application 1: Fire stopping consisting of semi-rigid fibre insulation
board produced from glass, rock or slag used to block the vertical space in
double stud wall assemblies formed at the intersection of floor assemblies
and walls provided the insulation board meets certain conditions, in buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.
that are permitted to be of combustible construction.

Intent | Intent 1: To exempt semi-rigid fibre insulation board produced from
glass, rock or slag used to block the vertical space in a double stud wall
assembly formed at the intersection of floor assemblies and walls from the
application of Sentence 3.1.11.7.(1), which would otherwise require the
material to be tested, if certain conditions are met that provide an equivalent
level of resistance to the spread of fire. |
