Intent | Intent 1: To exempt mezzanines serving certain major occupancies from
the requirements of Sentence 3.2.8.1.(1) and Articles 3.2.8.3. to 3.2.8.9., which would otherwise
require a vertical fire separation or certain fire protection measures, on
the basis that the mezzanine area is limited in size and sufficiently open
to allow occupants to detect a threat to their safety and not be excessively
delayed in reaching an exit. |
