| Application | Application 1: Passenger elevators located within interconnected
floor spaces provided the elevator machinery is located in a room separated
from the remainder of the building by a fire
separation whose fire-resistance rating is
not less than that required for hoistways by Sentence 3.5.3.1.(1), in buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.
Exceptions:
except for elevators provided for firefighters in accordance with Article 3.2.6.5.
