Application
Application 1: 
Method for measuring headroom clearance for stairways.
This applies to exits serving floor areas that are intended for occupancies, including mezzanines as stated in Sentence 3.4.2.2.(1), in buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.
Application 2: 
This also applies to:
  • access to exits, as stated in Sentence 3.3.1.8.(1),
  • tents and air-supported structures, as stated in Sentences 3.1.6.1.(1) and 9.10.1.2.(1),
  • stairways, as stated in Sentence 3.3.1.14.(1), and
  • stairs in a means of egress from a roof, where a roof is used or intended for an occupant load more than 60, as stated in Sentence 3.3.1.3.(4).
