Loads, forces and effects to be considered in the design of buildings and structural components.
This applies to buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A and buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A] that are required to be designed to the requirements of Part 4.

Intent
Intent 1: 
To limit the probability that the design of the building and its structural components will not take into account the dynamic effects of rapidly fluctuating or impulsive loads on the component forces and displacements determined by conventional static structural analysis, which could lead to structural failure, which could lead to harm to persons.
