Intent
Intent 1:
To limit the probability that the live load due to use and occupancy for corridors, lobbies and aisles not more than 1200 mm wide, all corridors above the first storey of residential areas of apartments, hotels and motels, and interior balconies and mezzanines, that cannot be used by an assembly of people as a viewing area, will be less than the accepted minimum value, which could lead to excessive deflection or excessive vibration of structural members, which could lead to negative effects on the psychological well-being of persons.
