Application
Application 1: 
Effects of resonance for structural systems supporting assembly occupancies used for rhythmic activities, such as dancing, concerts, jumping exercises or gymnastics, where the fundamental vibration frequency is less than 6 Hz.
This applies to buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A and to buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9] that are required to be designed in accordance with the requirements of Part 4.

Intent
Intent 1: 
To limit the probability that the dynamic structural effect of dynamic forces from rhythmic activities will not be taken into account in the design of the supporting structure, which could lead to the excessive vibration of the floor structure, which could lead to negative effects on the psychological well-being of persons.
