the soil, rock or groundwater is
found not to be of the type or in the condition used in design, and as indicated
on the drawings.

Intent | Intent 1: To limit the probability that the type or condition of soil,
rock or groundwater below the building, as determined during the review, will
not be taken into account in the design and construction of the excavation
and foundation system, which could lead to excessive displacement of the ground
or collapse of the excavation, which could lead to damage to adjacent buildings.
Intent 2: To facilitate, through qualification of persons skilled
in the interpretation of the types or conditions found for the design, the
determination of compliance with this requirement. |
