Application 1: 
Design of foundations where dynamic loading conditions apply.
This applies to buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A and buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A] that are required to be designed to the requirements of Part 4.

Intent
Intent 1: 
To limit the probability that the design of foundations will not take into account the dynamic loading conditions, such as due to machinery or ground-transmitted vibrations, which could lead to excessive vibration of the building, which could lead to negative effects on the psychological well-being of persons.
