Intent
Intent 1: 
To limit the probability that exhaust systems will operate without the introduction of make-up air, which could lead to the depressurization of occupied space from which air is being exhausted, which could lead to the entry of carbon monoxide gas from fuel-fired appliances into the building, which could lead to harm to persons.
