Application 1: 
Swinging door assemblies (doors, frames and hardware), in buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9]:
Exceptions: 
except for:
  • storm doors and screen doors [see Sentence 9.6.8.7.(1)], and
  • doors that comply with Articles 9.6.8.2. to 9.6.8.6.

Intent
Intent 1: 
To limit the probability of an inadequate level of security, which could lead to unwanted entry, which could lead to harm to persons.
Intent 2: 
To exempt doors, frames and hardware that otherwise address resistance to unwanted entry from the application of Articles 9.6.8.2. to 9.6.8.6.
