| Application | Application 1: Electrical wires or cables, single or grouped, with combustible insulation or jacketing that is not totally
enclosed in raceways of noncombustible material,
penetrating an assembly required to have a fire-resistance
rating, where such wiring or cables have an overall diameter of not
more than 25 mm. This applies to buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9].
