Intent | Intent 1: To exempt public corridor separations from the application
of Sentence 9.10.9.15.(1) by waiving the requirement for a fire separation
if certain conditions are met [i.e. the floor area is sprinklered throughout,
the sprinkler system meets certain operational requirements, and the corridor
has a minimum width]. This [the sprinklering] is to limit
the probability that a fire will not be controlled or suppressed, which could
lead to the spread of fire into the public corridor, or from the public corridor
into a suite, which could lead to:
