Intent
Intent 1:
To exempt certain buildings from the requirements of Sentence 9.10.19.3.(1), which would otherwise require smoke alarms to be installed with permanent connections to an electrical circuit, on the basis that such buildings are not supplied with electrical power and battery-operated smoke alarms will provide an acceptable level of performance in such circumstances.
