Intent | Intent 1: To supersede the requirements of Sentence 9.10.22.2.(1) and
permit a reduction in vertical clearance, if certain conditions are met.
This is to limit the probability that heat radiating from a range
or from open fire will ignite nearby framing, finishes or cabinetry, which
could lead to the spread of fire, which could lead to harm to persons.
Intent 2: To supersede the requirements stated in CSA B149.1, referred
to in Sentence 9.10.22.1.(1), with regard to natural gas ranges, in cases
of conflict. |
