Intent
Intent 1:
To limit the probability of inadequate crack control, which could lead to random cracking of cast-in-place and concrete block foundation walls due to shrinkage or soil movement, which could lead to water ingress, which could lead to compromised structural integrity of elements supported by foundations, which could lead to the displacement or failure of required environmental separation elements, which could lead to the deterioration of building elements, which could lead to harm to persons.
