is designed for specified loads on the basis of ultimate and serviceability

Intent | Intent 1: To limit the probability of precipitation or meltwater ingress,
or compromised thermal performance of components intended to resist heat transfer.
Where masonry veneer is installed to provide the required noncombustible
cladding, this is to limit the probability of deterioration, which could lead
to compromised fire resistance of the assembly, which could lead to harm to
persons.
