Application | Application 1: Minimum thickness of the back and sides of masonry
fireplaces constructed on-site, including the thickness of any firebrick liner,
in buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9].
Exceptions:
except as stated in Sentence 9.22.3.1.(2), which applies where
a steel fireplace liner is used with an air circulating chamber surrounding
the firebox.
Application 2: This also applies to fireplaces in buildings to
which Part 6 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A for application
of Part 6], as stated in Sentence 6.2.1.5.(1). |
