Intent
Intent 1:
To limit the probability that fasteners will not have adequate withdrawal resistance to provide sufficient support to resist gravity, vibration and wind loads, which could lead to the displacement of roofing materials and components.
This is to limit the probability of:
  • falling roofing materials, or
  • precipitation or meltwater ingress, which could lead to deterioration, which could lead to the structural failure of roofs or assemblies protected by roofs.
