Intent
Intent 1:
To limit the probability of inadequate stiffness or strength, which could lead to excessive deflection or structural failure of glass-reinforced polyester roofing panels under expected gravity loads.
This is to limit the probability of:
  • the structural failure of the roofing, or
  • rain or meltwater ingress, which could lead to deterioration, which could lead to the structural failure of roofs or assemblies protected by roofs.
This is to limit the probability of harm to persons.
