| Application | Application 1: Design, construction and installation of air duct
distribution systems serving heating systems in which the rated heat input
does not exceed 120 kW and serving only one dwelling
unit, in buildings to which Part 9 applies
[see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9].
Application 2: This also applies to ventilation ducts and their fittings,
as stated in Sentence 9.32.3.11.(1) [except for reasonably airtight exhaust ducts, constructed of water-impervious material
and serving only bathrooms or water-closet rooms, which are permitted to be
of combustible material].
