Application | Application 1: Minimum clearance between combustible material
and supply ducts, in air duct distribution systems,
where the required plenum clearance is more than 75
mm but not more than 150 mm, serving heating systems in
which the rated heat input does not exceed 120 kW and serving
only one dwelling unit, in buildings to
which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application
of Part 9].
Exceptions:
except as stated in Sentence 9.33.6.8.(5), which applies to
registers installed in floors directly over a pipeless furnace,
where a double-walled register box with not less than 100 mm between
walls or a register box with the warm-air passage completely surrounded by
the cold-air passage is provided.
