Application | Application 1: Provision of 3-way wall switches controlling lighting
outlets for stairways with 4 or more risers, in dwelling
units, in buildings to which Part 9 applies
[see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9].
Exceptions:
except as stated in Sentence 9.34.2.3.(3), which applies tobasements that do not contain finished space or do not
lead to an outside entrance or built-in garage, and that serve not more than
one dwelling unit.
Application 2: This also applies to buildings of residential occupancy to which Part 3 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A for application of Part 3], as stated in Sentence 3.2.7.1.(3). |
