Application 1: 
Tempering of make-up air, in heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems, introduced directly from outdoors to occupied parts of the building in winter, in buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.

To limit the probability that cold outdoor air will enter occupied parts of the building, which could lead to the inadequate control of relative humidity or indoor air temperatures, which could lead to the inadequate thermal comfort of persons, which could lead to harm to persons.
