Effects of proposed construction on adjacent buildings, where the proposed construction will result in a temporary or permanent change in the groundwater level.
This applies to buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A and buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A] that are required to be designed to the requirements of Part 4.

Intent
Intent 1: 
To limit the probability that the excavation and construction procedure will result in a temporary or permanent change in groundwater level, which could lead to excessive displacement of ground, which could lead to damage to adjacent buildings.
