Application 1: 
Mechanical ventilation of rooms and spaces, in buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.
Application 2: 
This also applies to buildings to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9], with respect to:
Exceptions: 
except as stated in:
  • Clause 6.2.2.2.(1)(a), which applies to buildings of other than residential occupancy having an occupant load of not more than one person per 40 m2 during normal use,
  • Clause 6.2.2.2.(1)(b), which applies to buildings of industrial occupancy where the nature of the process contained therein permits or requires the use of large openings in the building envelope even during the winter, and
  • Clause 6.2.2.2.(1)(c), which applies to seasonal buildings not intended to be occupied during the winter, and
  • Sentence 6.2.2.2.(2), which applies to buildings containing occupancies other than residential occupancies.
