Application | Application 1: Effective depth, support, fastening, thickness and
spacing of wooden stringers for stairs serving buildings to
which Part 9 applies [see Sentence 1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application
of Part 9].
Exceptions:
except as stated in Sentence 9.8.9.4.(2), which applies to
the spacing of wooden stringers for stairs serving only one dwelling
unit, where the risers support the front portion of the treads.
Application 2: This also applies to stairs within dwelling
units, in buildings to which Part 3 applies
[see Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A for application of Part 3], as
stated in Sentence 3.3.4.7.(1). |
