Application | Application 1: Installation of flashing, in cladding assemblies to
which Subsection 9.27.3. applies [see Article 9.27.1.1. for
application of Subsection 9.27.3.], at horizontal lines where
the cladding substrates change and where the installation of the cladding
on the lower substrate may compromise the drainage of moisture from behind
the cladding above.

accumulation of moisture. This is to limit the probability
of deterioration, which could lead to compromised structural integrity of
exterior walls or elements protected by exterior walls, which could lead to
harm to persons.
