Application | Application 1: Sprinkler or other fire suppression systems for buildings used for the storage of dangerous
goods regulated by Subsection 3.2.7. This
applies to buildings or parts of buildings used
for the short- or long-term storage of dangerous goods in
packages or containers when stored in single fire compartments in
quantities greater than those shown in Table 3.2.7.1., whether
raw or waste materials, goods in process, or finished goods.

Intent | Intent 1: To limit the probability that a fire involving the stored
products will spread to other parts of the building, which could lead to damage
to the building. Intent 2: To direct Code users to Sentence 6.4.1.1.(1), Article 2.1.3.5., Article 2.1.3.6. and 6.6.1.1.,
and to caution that the extinguishing agent and method must be determined
based on the hazardous properties of the specific dangerous goods to be protected.
