Intent
Intent 1:
To override the limits in Sentence 4.2.8.2.(1) and permit more liquids in a building if the liquid quantities are required for normal plant activity and the quantities are limited to a level not greater than the supply for one day of normal operation.
This is to limit the probability that excessive quantities of liquids will become involved in a fire occurring in the building, which could contribute to the spread of fire, which could lead to harm to persons.
