Application
Application 1: 
Atmospheric storage tanks, described in Clauses 4.3.1.2.(1)(a), (b) and (c), used for the storage of crude petroleum at oil fields.
Exceptions: 
except:
  • as exempted in Sentences 4.1.1.1.(2) and (3), which apply to unique hazards at process plants, in transportation, for oil burning equipment, on farms and isolated construction projects, and the storage of aerosol products,
  • as provided in Sentence 4.3.1.2.(3) when necessitated by possible contamination of the liquid or possible rapid corrosion of the tank, and
  • as stated in Sentence 4.3.1.2.(4) when the temperature of the liquid is at or above its boiling point.
